See if tomorrow is possible →How the checker works out "tomorrow"
Next-day business funding isn't one deadline. It's a chain: your enquiry, a call from a specialist, documents, an offer, signatures from everyone involved, and then the payment itself. The checker looks at where you are in that chain right now and how many links are already done.
It starts with the calendar. Using your state's time zone, it works out whether today is still a business day, whether tomorrow is one, and which day is realistically the first working day for your request. It knows the statewide public holidays for every state and territory through to the end of 2027, so a Friday-night enquiry before a Labour Day long weekend lands on the right day. Our page on time zones and public holidays explains why this matters.
Then it weighs the four things that decide pace:
- Security and amount. Property-secured business funding runs from $20,000 to $5,000,000, and $20k to $250k can be possible the same day. Up to $5m can be possible within 24–48 hours. Unsecured options for trading businesses typically run from $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements, and same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts.
- Documents on hand. ID, entity details, bank statements and property documents are what an assessor needs first. Each missing item usually costs part of a day. See the tonight checklist.
- People. If every signer is reachable tomorrow, the signing step is quick. If not, it's the most common reason funds slip.
- History. ATO debt and past credit issues are considered case by case. They don't rule out tomorrow, but they add questions, especially without property.
Finally, it looks at what "tomorrow" means for you. Money in your own account, money in someone else's account by a set time, and a firm answer by tomorrow are three different targets. Paying the ATO, for example, adds its own processing time: the ATO says payments can take up to 4 business days to reach it.
How to read your result
| Result | What it means | What to do tonight |
|---|---|---|
| Tomorrow looks possible | Security, amount, documents and timing all line up | Enquire now, keep your phone on from early morning |
| Possible if you move tonight | One or two gaps, usually documents or signers | Close the gaps listed in your checklist before bed |
| Realistic target: the day after | The request needs a bit more assessment or preparation | Enquire now and tell the person you owe a realistic date |
| Plan for several business days | Larger unsecured amounts, new businesses or complex security | Enquire, and consider a smaller first amount or property security |
The result is a guide, not a promise. Every application is assessed on its own facts, and a specialist may see options the checker can't. If your result says "the day after", that's still valuable: it's usually enough to agree a short extension with a supplier or landlord. Our guide on asking a supplier for more time has wording that works.
Why the evening before matters most
Almost everything that decides "today or tomorrow" happens before lunch on the funding day. An enquiry sent the evening before sits at the top of the pile when the working day starts, and the evening gives you quiet time to download statements, find the rates notice and call anyone who needs to sign. That's why the checker gives extra weight to enquiring early. Read more on cut-off times and what delays next-day funding.
If the result tells you tomorrow is realistic, the next step takes about 60 seconds: start your enquiry. There's no credit check when you first enquire, your details aren't sprayed across a list of lenders, and a real person reads your situation and calls you. Please answer the form as accurately as you answered the checker — it's what lets us match the right option first time.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result a loan approval?
No. It's a realistic readiness check based on general patterns: your time, state, amount, security, purpose and documents. A lending specialist confirms what's actually possible after reading your enquiry.
Why does the checker ask what time it is?
Because next-day funding runs on business-day cut-offs. An enquiry sent the evening before is read at the start of the next business day, while one sent late in the afternoon may roll into the following day. The checker uses your state's time zone and statewide public holidays.
Which public holidays does it know about?
Statewide public holidays for every state and territory from October 2026 to the end of 2027, taken from the Fair Work Ombudsman's published lists. Regional holidays are flagged as notes. After 2027 it counts weekends only and says so.
Why doesn't it show an interest rate or repayment?
Every loan is priced on the business's circumstances, so a generic rate would be misleading. The checker focuses on what decides speed: security, documents, signers and timing.
What's the fastest path to money tomorrow?
Usually property security with documents ready: $20k to $250k can be possible the same day against property. For trading businesses without property, same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts when bank statements are ready.
Does using the checker or enquiring affect my credit file?
No. The checker runs entirely in your browser and stores nothing. Enquiring doesn't involve a credit check either; that only comes up if you decide to go ahead.
No credit check to enquire
Asking whether tomorrow is realistic leaves your credit file untouched. A credit check only comes up once you choose to proceed.
No spray-and-pray
Your enquiry isn't auctioned off to a list of lenders overnight. One team reads it and matches it with care.
A real person on your file
A lending specialist reads what you sent and rings you to talk it through. Accurate answers on the form mean the right match on the first call.
Tomorrow is closer than it looks
Send the 60-second enquiry tonight and a specialist can start first thing. No credit check to enquire, no lead farming, just a real person on your file.
